manthis place is like home.

so i hurt my foot at the gym. its quite suck. its been a few days and the lovely people around me have not stopped badgering me to goto the hospital or something. so caroll is going to take me now.

other than that, our new project will be up in the next week or so. www.t3ad.com <– at the moment its pointing straight to tead, hopefully this weekend we will be changing over.

while deliberating on what to do today, i happened to run into two amusing news stories, so if your bored here and here will use some of your time.

gym tonight, exciting, although im still a little sore from running last night, planning to make some videos soon, which too will be exciting. I might wait a few weeks and then do a whole bunch. As well as the house tour ones for nina, which i keep forgetting about.

anyways, i really should do some work..

so like im in singapore. melony is standing next to me trying to get the other free computer to work, but is having little luck. although i fail to mention that she got this one working and i stole it from her. ahh appeased. anywys, we have about an hour and a half before we leave from here, had quite a good day, managed to bargan, although a touch unsuccessful, but nevertheless obtained a camera. of which will be posting a nice photo diary on sptrip.myphotoalbum.com as soon as we can find an internet cafe that lets me plug my camera in. its a little after midnight here and still boiling hot, hrmmm.. looks like were about to head off to get a drink before passing on through customs. hopefully it will make that whole ordeal a little more pleasant. oh by the way, were heading to dubai now, its a 7hour flight, then after a 1hr or so stop were heading to paris on another 7 hour trip. all for now..

the time is drawing near. its quite exciting really. have a few things to sort out first. i was planning to sleep under my desk, but im not so sure anymore. for a few reasons, it is quite dark, and i am in a good corner. but it might not be so comfortable, i guess i could stash a duvet under there though. then again, my office has 3 other people in it, and we do get visitors. so i would hate it to come to sleep time and have people talking everywhere. there is a few options. one is to walk home at lunch, its a 15 min walk, i could get there, sleep, and then walk back in my hour. ahh there is also a sleeping room in the building, i might ask at reception about it and see if i can use it. its a little weird tho tbh.

anyway, first i need to get a battery alarm clock/timer thing. planning to go after work today and pick one up. im really quite excited, and a little scared aswell. hopefully ill post here through out my experiences. at the moment i have been doing lots of muscle building and cardiovascular work, im not too sure how this is going to fit into the sleep cycle, having no long periods for my body to repair. ah well, one life eh.

so only 9 weeks till we leave. exciting.

were off to see the pumpkins. it would be nice to catch the first show, but we planned most of this before it was announced and it is cooler to see four anyway. the first show is in paris on the 22nd of may. were planning to leave here on the 4th of june, to catch the lisbon show on the 9th. then to  see or four more and get back home on the 22nd ish.

ive been trying to write this post all day, but keep getting distracted. although i suppose that is good, since ive got lots of work done.

going to Murphys tonight to play some pool and stuff. should be fun. me and mel normally go there a little eairlyer for dinner.  Been doing this pool thing for a few weeks, its been fun. well, ive enjoyed it anyway. heaps of people from blueprint come too. well, no, not really, but wouldnt that be cool. like if just heaps of us all met up there at some time on some day and just hung out/played pool/had a few drinks etc.

goal for rest of week: post more, post quicker.

I just finished watching a movie and was feeling relatively melancholic, so after stumbling around for something to do, i decided to try and write down some ideas for a new work project i’ve recently had. anyway, i was looking trough one of the various boxes in my room and came across my old journal. this thing is approaching 6-7 years of age now, and not even half full so i start to write. writing is becoming so difficult, and soo slow, let alone the total unlegable’ness of the whole ordeal. and i guess here i am.

although, i do feel that there is a difference in writing on paper and on-line. maby the words come out different depending on the medium you are expressing them, like my brain has to type as I’m thinking so that must affect my thoughts right? so like with hand writing is it more natural? i guess not, well it doesn’t feel more natural. maby that’s why art is so different on different mediums. like how people can be so great at one form but unable to transition to others. hrm.. that is an odd thought. that our expressions effect the expressed.

anyway, was only writing so that i could start writing again, getting the ball rolling if you will allow me the use of a terribly archaic and very boring metaphor.

OK so I guess I was focusing on the more negative aspects yesterday, and yes i do understand ‘modular’ development and that all these little parts are most likely out sourced to an extent. Well at least separately developed, although going as far as too justify the lack of a simple COBP? I’m not sure i can do that. Do we get any response to this? Us, the end users. Or do we have to call India again? (not that ‘we’ have called India about this, or that ‘we’ are even looking for a reply, I guess you can just take that as another dig)

Argh. this is terrible. I feel like everyone is against me. Picking for floors, looking for mistakes. Passive i must remain. For as i leave due spite is generated. For equal responce… well, that would play into their hands. It is so hard. so many half written email responses unsent.
