pirates.

September 27, 2007

two things that bug me today.

first,  not being able to post comments on georges ‘sandbox’. yer you should fix that.

and second. those damn boots! you know. those ones that they wear over tight black jeans. although, it does less bug than amuse me. this morning while graciously being driven to work, this topic did come up, as it does. in thus aforementioned conversation, grg noted that the boots are and very well may soon publicly, be thrown in that same boat with 80’s shoulder pads. i mean, there isnt even a captian!! what are they thinking? it will be all floating at sea not know which direction to go. what if there is pirates? thats the real question they should be asking themselves each morning. what if there is pirates!!

amazing js

September 23, 2007

was reading a post on ajaxian and in the comments found this:

now im new to javascript, well, maby not new, but new enough to be quite impressed by this.

almost somewhere

sometimes i get the feeling that sitting at my desk isnt enough. that something is happening some where in the world. something that is great. this isolation of a cubicle. although i am physically separated, the boundary’s in essence are only in my mind. i guess thats just the mild depression and or anxiety from sitting here for so long today, staring out the windows to the beautiful wellington sunny day. having done next to no practicle work, while reading amasing posts (such as anything from Rory) and aspiring to maby distant great heights.

i might go make a milkshake. in fact yes. milkshakes are happy. i keep a container of milkshake making powder stuff on my desk for just this reason. so when i feel like a milkshake is required i may just make the quick walk down the corridor to the kitchen and take a bottle of milk. simple.

gah, that perilous interweb

now, to the main point. well, sub main point, that is going to be a main point since the main main point will be a separate post.

i wrote this thing the other day, and its gone! i came here with the best intentions, and what do i find? my last post didnt show up? thats quite saddening. especially because i enjoyed writing it and wanted to be refreshed by the subtle humour. which i guess is now lost forever. 😦

tulsi

September 12, 2007

just had lunch at work. what was special about that was that it was tulsi. 12 oclock came and past, and 1 was rapidly approaching. i had nothing to eat and no specific thoughts in mind. so i began a slow walk down cuba st. i made it to the palace and mena’s without deciding on what to eat, checked the boards out for that one meal that was blatantly staring out at me, but alas, i couldnt see it. so i continued on walking down. at the guznie crossing i was still a little lost, normally a meal has presented itself before now. my faith was strong tho. i continued walking.  i guess my trouble may of arose from a planning to have lunch with a friend but then that falling through at the last minute. (aka: why i didnt bring last nights pizza for lunch). but not five steps from the other side of the crossing i saw tulsi and knew i was sold! indian! amasing. i really like indian. so i went in.

they had a lunch special! a curry, rice and a narn for a special low price of something low which i didnt really look at. so i ordered a malai cofter, with the special garlic narn, which was a little extra, but the guy sold it so well i consented. i mean, if hes going to give me a litttle speal about it, ill most likely try it out.  getting sold things is actually quite amusing. before we get too far past tho, that narn was totally worth it. the default order was medium, and the guy also proceed to write it down while asking, well, i guess it was more like saying ‘im giving you medium’ im not really sure what that says about me. is there really a stereotype about your preference of chilli? or maby thats just statistically the eaisyst thing to write.

so i paid and then herd someone calling ‘Jesus, Jesus’, so i turned. (this part may seem a little weird, but once you realise i currently have long hair and a beard things may click, for you see most people relate Jesus to a white guy who has long hair and a beard, which is similar to how i currently look) (oh and i also turned because this happend, very, often)  anyway, it was Alistair from work, with one of his friends. So i sat down for a little chat while my food was prepared.

then i got back to work and ate it, and it was amasing just like i predicted, and very hot too, just like i asked. then i procrastinated and wrote some stuff on my blog before starting to work again.

the intranode

September 7, 2007

its been a while since ive writtn, but that dosent mean im not writing. well in a sense it does, but what is one. ahh the social need to sound blog worthy. how it tax’s my spirit. only so long will it go on.

this post is concerning the intranode. well, it is now. the intranode is explained here quite well, well, it should be eventually. which i guess is now in web time. ive spent about a week working on it at the moment. its comming along quite well. still a good amount of dev needs to be done at this point though. but the idea is just so hugely open and expansible it almost drives itself. one day to become the internode.

im also studying pauls letter to the saints in rome, we like to call this one romans. aweesome!

ahh and paprplane. but that is another story, still as of large yet to be written.
